Not Just Miles—Moments.

About Beyond The Ride

Beyond The Ride creates premium, all-inclusive cycling journeys across Latin America that go beyond the ride itself. Our trips combine iconic routes, local culture, recovery support, and companion-friendly experiences, so you come home with more than just miles in your legs.

From the moment you arrive, we take care of the details. Our trips include top-tier bicycles, private accommodation in premium stays, most meals as listed in each itinerary, snacks, all ground transportation, professional ride support, recovery massage, entrance fees to included attractions and experiences, cultural visits, city tours, tastings, and farewell celebrations. No hidden fees. No forced upgrades. No add-ons just to be comfortable.

Most days begin with breakfast and ride prep, followed by the ride with support on the road. After the ride, you’ll have time to recover, enjoy your accommodation, and take part in local experiences or group meals depending on the itinerary. Companion activities and cultural experiences are built into the trip and run independently to the cycling activity, so the day feels complete both on and off the bike.

To keep the experience personal and well supported, we keep groups small. Most departures are limited to 6 to 8 cyclists. Non-cyclist companions are also welcome, and we can accommodate up to 10 companions.

Yes. Many guests join on their own. Our small-group format makes it easy to feel part of the experience from day one.

Yes. Our tours are operated in English, and our guides also speak Spanish. If you know a little Spanish, locals always appreciate the effort, but you won’t need it to enjoy the trip.

Booking and trip planning

A $500 USD deposit per person is required to reserve your spot. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the trip starts. Check our Cancellation Policy for more details.

All trip prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD).

Our departures have limited capacity, so booking early is the best way to secure your preferred dates, especially for fixed departures.

Yes. Your trip is guaranteed to run even if you are the only cyclist booked on that departure. If anything affects operations on our end, we’ll contact you early with clear options.

The best trip depends on your schedule, riding experience, and goals.

By length:
Express trips are ideal for tighter schedules.
Standard trips offer the full Beyond The Ride experience, with more riding, more recovery, more cultural depth, and more time for companions to enjoy the journey.

By difficulty:
Medium trips are suitable for most cyclists with solid endurance, with most rides below 3 to 4 hours on the bike.
Hard trips require stronger climbing fitness and preparation.
Very Hard trips are best for well-prepared cyclists looking for a more demanding challenge.

Tell us about your riding level and goals, and we’ll help you choose the best fit.

Yes. We can design private and custom trips based on your dates, group size, and preferred routes.

If you’d like to arrive earlier or stay longer, we can recommend places to stay near the start or end of your trip. Some tours may also offer alternate finish points or additional extensions.

If you’d like to gift trip credit, contact us and we’ll help arrange it.

Visa requirements depend on your passport and the entry rules of each country at the time of travel. We recommend checking official government guidance well before departure and reviewing it again closer to travel.

Send us a message through the website inquiry form. We’ll reply with availability, next steps, and any customization options.

Arrival and logistics

We’ll guide you on the best airport, arrival plan, and trip start and end points. Flights and anything outside the included transfers are booked separately by you.

Yes. Companions are part of the experience and can take part in included transfers and activities listed in the itinerary.

Preparing for your trip

At a minimum, bring your helmet, cycling shoes, pedals, gloves, travel medical insurance information, and any personal items you rely on for comfort and performance.

Pack layers for changing conditions. Mountain regions can shift quickly from warm valleys to cooler high-altitude weather. Bring lightweight riding layers, a warmer option for higher elevations, casual evening clothes, and any personal items you need for comfort and recovery.

.

Cyclists are accommodated in single rooms by default.

If traveling with companions, room arrangements may vary depending on booking type. Companions who wish to participate as cyclists must register as cyclists.

We carefully select high-quality accommodations aligned with the premium nature of the experience.

Weather varies greatly by country, region, season, and altitude. In destinations such as Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, and Ecuador, you may experience warm, humid conditions in the valleys and much cooler air higher in the mountains, sometimes with brief rain showers. In countries such as Chile and Argentina, seasonal patterns are more similar to Europe and North America, but reversed.

Safety comes first. Bad weather alone is not enough to cancel or change a ride but, if conditions require it, we may adjust the route, modify the schedule, delay the start, or replace a ride with another activity. We always aim to preserve the experience while making responsible decisions on the ground.

No. Our trips are run in English, and our guides also speak Spanish.

About the ride

You don’t need to be a professional cyclist, but you should be comfortable riding on consecutive days and spending around 3 to 4 hours on the bike, with longer days on more demanding trips.

For harder routes, we generally recommend training for 8 to 12 weeks before the trip, especially if climbing is a challenge for you.

That’s common. Our small groups and support structure make it easier to manage pacing, regrouping, and recovery without anyone feeling rushed or left behind. On some harder rides, start points may also be adjusted depending on rider fitness and group logistics.

Yes. We can often help riders shorten a day or sit out a stage if needed. Cycling should always feel rewarding.

Our ride support may include a bike mechanic, hydration, snacks, and support vehicles such as vans, cars, or motorcycles, depending on the group size and route.

Our trips include a top-tier road bike suited to the route and destination. Specific models may vary by location and availability. Specialized Tarmac, Pinarello Dogma, Pinarello F, Trek Emonda, Cannondale, Colnago, Cervelo, Giant, or similar.

Many airlines accept bicycles as checked baggage when packed correctly, but fees vary by airline and may depend on baggage rules, weight, and case dimensions. We recommend checking directly with your airline before travel.

Pack your bike in a dedicated bike case, bike bag, or sturdy bike box, and make sure it stays within your airline’s size and weight limits. Always confirm requirements with your airline before departure.

We set up your bike using the measurements you provide in our custom bike fit form. If you’d like to share additional fit details, you’re welcome to email them to us before the trip.

We may have limited pedal options available for emergencies, but we strongly recommend bringing your own to ensure compatibility and comfort.

If saddle comfort is important to you, especially for multi-day riding, bringing your own saddle is a smart idea. We’ll help with setup.

No. Cycling shoes and cleat setup are highly personal, so you’ll need to bring your own.
