The Land of Coffee — Senior Riders 55+ Cycling Tour in Colombia’s Coffee Region

Arrive in Bogota and meet our team at the airport or your hotel. We’ll help you get settled, then spend a bit of time setting up your bike so everything feels dialed for the week.

After checking in, relax and ease into Bogota with a stroll around Parque de la 93 and Zona T—two of the city’s best areas for shopping, cafes, and excellent restaurants.

Cyclists: Early departure from Bogota for your first ride: Alto de La Tribuna to Cambao. It’s a beautiful intro day—steady, manageable effort, and a great way to settle into Colombia’s terrain and scenery.

All travelers: Optional visit to the Armero Tragedy Site, where you’ll learn the story of the 1985 Nevado del Ruiz disaster and see the memorials that honor the lives lost—an impactful, reflective experience.

Cyclists: Conquer Alto de Letras. You’ll take on one of cycling’s most legendary climbs and a true rite of passage for cyclists, gaining altitude through changing landscapes and climates all the way into the high Andes. After the ride, you’ll be transferred to our premium lodge between Pereira and Armenia—your home base in the heart of coffee country.

Companions: Guided cultural tour in Manizales: walk the “City of Open Doors” with its towering Catedral Basílica de Manizales, the panoramic Chipre viewpoint, the ‘Monumento a los Colonizadores’, and scenic cable car rides. Enjoy a relaxed day of culture, local flavors, and finalize your day in a premium lodge.

Cyclists: Ride from Pereira to Quimbaya to Alcalá and back to Pereira, moving deeper into the coffee region with beautiful terrain, rolling roads, and a more relaxed rhythm that lets you enjoy the scenery. This is one of the tour’s most enjoyable days for riders who want a smooth, scenic experience in the heart of coffee country.

Companions: Enjoy a signature day in the Andes: hike among towering wax palms and misty trails in Valle del Cocora. In the afternoon, visit two of the most colorful coffee towns Filandia and Salento, and enjoy a day filled with coffee culture, amazing landscapes, and local flavors.

Cyclists: Probably the most beautiful and rewarding ride of the tour, an early ride from Pereira to Montenegro, passing through Filandia and Circasia, and back to Pereira, a scenic day that continues the journey through the heart of the coffee country.

All travelers: After the cyclists return from their ride, the complete group heads to Parque del Cafe for a fun and cultural full-day experience, combining coffee culture with dozens of attractions, rides, and shows—an easy, fun full-day option. Learn about the Parque del Café.

All travelers: Transfer back to Bogota for a relaxed afternoon and time to reset after the week’s challenges before the final night together. Celebrate at Andres DC with great food, music, and an unforgettable atmosphere (food and drinks not included).

All travelers: A guided Bogota highlights tour before you head out—Monserrate for panoramic views, La Candelaria’s colonial streets, and cultural stops like Plaza de Bolivar and world class museums (Gold Museum and Botero Museum), plus coffee and local tastings to close the week well.
